Motel Aurora is an imaginary place filled with noise, northern lights, and things we do not speak of. It sounds like post-folk and stoner country; people comment that the singing reminds them of Cat Power but the rest doesn't. High on melody but torn at the edges, occasionally ominous like indescribable mythical phenomena. Their two releases so far, Karlakarlar (2011) and Same/Title (2012) touch on issues such as jigsaw puzzles, male archetypes, TV satellites, shipwrecks and rattlesnakes.
